A fourteen-year-old girl named Tae was sitting under a tree reading a book. She was always quiet and reserved because she didn't know her true identity deep down. Then suddenly she heard the voice of the friendly tree talking to her. She told the tree how sad she was and wished she could go to a faraway place. The old oak tree granted her wish and transported her to a mysterious magical garden. The tree however warned her that if she didn't return in three days, she would have to stay there forever without her family and friends. Tae saw every fruit tree, food, fried chicken, and animal that she could think about. She thought she was in paradise and didn't want to go back home. She finally felt so happy and she didn't leave. When it was the second day, Tae started to feel lonely and sad. Tae missed her family dearly and started to reminisce on all the fun times she had with her family especially her favorite aunt, Auntie Maalia.

Mateo and Nina sit under a big tree. It is snack time! Mateo eats a banana. “I like bananas!” he says. Nina eats a papaya. “I like papayas!” she says. Mateo tries a sour orange. “Oh no! It was a shiny red tricycle and Tasha was Tasha and her Mom went for a bike ride through the neighborhood. Tasha peddled as fast as she could. They approached what they called the candy lady. The big house had a table in the front yard. it was naptime so they headed home. Tasha didn't want to take a nap so when her mom layed down Tasha snuck out of the house to ride her shiny red trycicle. she knew it was wrong but it was like the bike was calling her name. "Tasha, Tasha." Tasha tried to remember the way that her and her mom took but she got lost. she ran into a hill that she went flying down and the bike flipped and she scraped her leg and tears fell down her eyes. eventually her mom finds her and gave her a talk how important following rules were as well as obeying her parents. the take away from the story is rules are set in place to keep her safe.

Page 2 The two brothers arrived at the Old Wall and saw the ancient wall and narrow gate. Ming told Wah that this place once defended against pirate invasions. Page 3 As they walked into the village, they saw villagers preparing for the Spring and Autumn Festival. Wah excitedly said, “I want to see these traditional rituals!” Page 4 Ming took Wah to the Tin Hau Temple, where a statue of Tin Hau was enshrined. They saw villagers ringing bells to pray for safety, feeling the power of faith. Page 5 Next, they arrived at the ancient well. Wah curiously asked, “How old is this well?” Ming replied, “It’s an important water source for villagers, over a hundred years old!” Page 6 They visited the Song Ling Tang Temple and admired the beautiful wood carvings and statues. Ming told Wah it was built to honor their ancestors. Page 7 The brothers ran through the fields of the village, enjoying the beauty of nature. Wah said, “The air here is so fresh; I love it!” Page 8 Finally, they sat on a hillside, watching the sunset. Ming and Wah promised to return to Lung Yeuk Tau in the future to explore more secrets!

As they worked, Mrs. B encouraged them, saying, “Remember, your dreams are like stars in the sky—each one is special and adds to the beauty of our world.” By the end of the class, the Dream Wall was adorned with vibrant and imaginative dream catchers, each one reflecting the students’ hopes and aspirations. Mrs. B admired their work and said, “Your dream catchers are wonderful! They remind us that each of us has unique dreams and talents. Let’s work together this year to help each other’s dreams come true.” The students left the Creative Studio feeling inspired and excited about the year ahead.
