Page 1Once upon a time, in a 1975 gray Ford car, lived Z'Rica Chanell. She was a 10-year-old African American girl with dark skin, big brown eyes and two afro puff ponytails tied with cotton candy looking ribbons. Z'Rica lived with her mom, little sister, and baby sister. They didn't have a home, so the car was their house. The back seat was Z'Rica's bedroom, and she kept her few belongings in a suitcase. At night, she'd sleep under a blanket, dreaming of a different life. Illustration: Z'Rica and her family in their car. Z'Rica is in the backseat, surrounded by her few belongings. Page 2Every day, Z'Rica would go to the library after school. She loved to read and learn new things. The library smelled like old books and felt quiet and peaceful. Z'Rica would get lost in the stories, imagining a different life for herself. She'd read about kids with big houses and loving families, wondering what that would be like. Page 3One day, while she was walking to the library, she found a old book and a wooden comb on the ground near the library. The comb was special - it had African patterns carved into it. She picked them up, feeling a strange connection to the comb. She decided to take them home, wondering where they came from. Maybe they belonged to someone important. "Z'Rica, you have a special mission," it said in a low, rumbling voice. Z'Rica was surprised, but also excited. Her hair started talking back to the comb! "What mission?" it asked, looking at the comb. Illustration: The comb talking to Z'Rica's hair. Z'Rica is sitting on her car bed, looking shocked but excited.

In a lively barnyard, two mischievous sheep, Sneaky Sam and Tricky Tina, were known for their clever tricks and elaborate pranks. Their latest scheme was their most daring yet—a grand rodeo promising extravagant prizes like fresh hay, shiny new wool, and delicious farm treats. However, unbeknownst to the excited barnyard animals, the entire event was rigged in the sheep’s favor. The "bucking bronco" was a mechanical sheep under their control, and the "roping contest" was a setup designed to trap competitors. Just as chaos unfolded, a kind-hearted young girl named Lily arrived at the farm. Noticing the strange behavior of Sam and Tina, she quickly deduced their trickery. As the animals struggled against the deceitful challenges, Lily devised a plan to turn the tables. Switching the rigged ropes and tampering with the mechanical sheep, she transformed it into a wild, unpredictable "bull" that neither Sam nor Tina could control. Their own tricks backfired, leaving them tangled in their own traps as the barnyard erupted in laughter. Realizing their mistake, Sam and Tina apologized, learning that honesty and kindness were far more rewarding than deception. With Lily’s help, the farm animals threw a fair rodeo, where everyone could enjoy the games without tricks or deceit. As the sun set, the animals gathered for a joyful celebration, and Sam and Tina finally understood that true fun comes from playing fair. The story ends with the heartwarming lesson: "Honesty is the best policy, and helping others always brings more joy than any trick!"

On a sunny day, a girl named Rina loves playing in the playground and seeking new experiences. One day, she secretly leaves home to return to the playground by herself. At the playground, Rina met a boy named Aqma who was sitting quietly on a seat. Startled, Aqma asked, “Why are you looking at me like that? What are you doing here alone?” Rina replied confidently, “Why, just because I'm a girl I can't come here by myself?” Aqma moved her gaze and just sat silently watching Rina playing by herself. It wasn't long before a horde of children came to invade the playground and Rina was drowned out by the group of newly arrived children. Aqma, confused and searching for Rina. “Uh it hurts.” He heard a voice. “Told you, people like you aren't fit to play here alone!”, “I just fell!” Rina retorted unhappily. “Just? You hurt your leg!” Aqma exclaimed. Their argument was punctuated by the growing sounds of children on the playground." "Hurry, get up before you're trampled!" Aqma urged. "I can barely stand!" Rina retorted. Aqma offered his hand. "You said you just fell, but you can't stand. Let me help." Rina accepted, and Aqma helped her to stand up. In a quieter place, Aqma tried to clean Rina's wound. “How is it? Does it feel better?” asked Aqma. “Yes, better, thank you.” Rina replied softly. “I'm Rina, by the way.” “I'm Aqma.” Aqma and Rina shook hands. “Thank you, you're better than I thought,” Rina said with a smile. Before it got too late, Aqma helped Rina back to her house. “Rina!” said Rina's mother. “Are you alright?” “I'm fine, mom, thanks to Aqma.” said Rina. Rina's mother turned to Aqma. “Thank you for accompanying Rina to play and helping her.” said Rina's mother with a smile. Before Aqma left, Rina stopped her. “Aqma! Let's meet and play together tomorrow” Smiling, Aqma agreed. From that day on, Rina and Aqma became close friends, and shared many adventures together.

2. Real Presence of Jesus: Children should understand that in the Eucharist, Jesus is truly present. This can be explained simply: "When we eat the bread and drink the wine at Mass, we believe that Jesus is really with us." This foundational belief helps children appreciate the mystery of the Eucharist 4. Sharing and Community: Emphasizing the communal aspect of the Eucharist is essential. Children can be taught that the Eucharist is a time when everyone comes together to share God's love. They can learn that just like sharing food with family and friends, the Eucharist is about sharing love and kindness with everyone in the Church community 6. Love and Gratitude: Teaching children to express love and gratitude is vital. They can be encouraged to say thank you to Jesus for the gift of the Eucharist. This can be done through simple prayers or actions, helping them understand the importance of being thankful for God's gifts
